Biographical sketch

Francesco Fabbrocino is Full Professor of Structural Engineering in the Department of Engineering at the Pegaso Telematic University (Unipegaso, Italy). He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronic Engineering from the University of Napoli Federico II, a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II”. He has participated as a PI or co-PI in various research projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR), the Laboratories University Network of Seismic Engineering (ReLUIS) , Horizon Program with STRESS - Development of Research and Technologies for Sustainable and Seismically Safe Building is a Research and Technology Hub composed of Universities, Research Institutes, and Private Sector Firms based in the Campania Region and the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Francesco Fabbrocino is the Director of the Smart Materials, Monitoring and Assessment of Bridges and infrastructures Department of BENECON - University Consortium UNESCO Chair. He received 5 Scientific International Awards. He holds 11 international patents. He member of the Editorial Boards of several peer-review international journals. His research work concerns composites and nano-composites materials; experimental investigation of composites materials (FRP); computational mechanics; multiscale numerical modelling and simulation of materials and structures; computational design and engineering of innovative sustainable materials and infrastructures; structural rehabilitation of masonry and concrete structures with FRP; full FRP composite structures; connections in composites structures.
